Global Entrepreneurship Week
Global Entrepreneurship Week is the world’s largest celebration of the innovators and job creators who launch startups that bring ideas to life, drive economic growth and expand human welfare.
During one week each November, GEW inspires people everywhere through local, national and global activities designed to help them explore their potential as self-starters and innovators. These activities, from large-scale competitions and events to intimate networking gatherings, connect participants to potential collaborators, mentors and even investors—introducing them to new possibilities and exciting opportunities.
The loss of a visionary and creative genius – Steve Jobs
“Your time is limited, so don’t waste it living someone else’s life. Don’t be trapped by dogma – which is living with the results of other people’s thinking. Don’t let the noise of other’s opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary.” – Steve Jobs’ Stanford Commencement Address

Women In Business – You Get What You Tolerate
WA went to a Women in Business speaker series yesterday. The speaker was Mary Cantando, who used humor, candor and her experience as a business owner and national and international speaker to remind women of their power and potential. She said everyone should think and act like they are here to solve a big problem – she said she is working to solve our nation’s unemployment crisis by helping people, specifically women, to start businesses. What problem are you helping to solve? And she reminded all of us to recognize ourselves as an expert and ‘you get what you tolerate.’
